The triathlon scene in Boise is active, strong, and growing!
Our city is the perfect year-round triathlon training base. In the winter, the pools of the YMCA are the best bet for training, with the Masters workouts. In the summer, we have the Veteran's park pond, clocktower pond, and Lucky Peak reservoir.
The race calendar remains the same with short sprint distances, as well as olympic races such as Spudman triathlon, and Emmett triathlon.
Last year, we saw an Xterra added to the calendar in McCall. The race is tough, fun, and we hope to see even more people out there this year.
Even though the race calendar remains the same, races are getting more popular, making the competition even more fun. The pool of athletes in Boise area is high, including athletes such as Jenny and Michal Tobin, Kelly williamson, Kevin Everett and our Olympian Cyclist Kristin Armstrong.

The Boise Aeros is a great club where you can meet triathletes of all abilities. They have weekly workouts posted on their website.

We hope to see you at one of our races or visit Boise and see for yourself how great of a training town this is.
